Roadmap Summary + Direction Needed

Thank you for the fantastic engagement.

I had a feeling an Option 4 might be proposed. :joy:

This is really the key issue. For roadmap planning, I currently need to work on the basis that either buy+burn or buy+LP will be adopted. I believe drafts are underway, but I’d encourage the community to put this to a vote sooner rather than later so we can move forward with more certainty.

As @samus raised without buy+burn and buy+lp, Saturn 2 is very small. An option 4 with that assumption would look like this:

i like this option 4. we definitely need to go to vote

saturn 2 by april/may?
count me in for option 4

btw buy+burn and buy+lp should be added in the option 4 graph under “future”

(pending if they could be implemented at the time of hotfixes)

I like option 3. I see most of the improvements in Saturn 2 as synergizing with forced exits for liquidity reasons, and it makes sense to bundle them and save time. I expect there is a good deal of overlap.

I’d like to remind you that timelines are indicative and actual delivery times may greatly vary – usually up and scale with the number of features.

Meanwhile, not launching in August already cost us 25% of RPL/ETH ratio. Maybe just a coincidence, but I think the faster we move the better.

Option 2.

Yes, so I think basically this. Do the minimal Saturn 2 (without RPIP-45/50) plus rETH updates as one upgrade next and push back decision on RPIP-45/50 to the upgrade after.

My vote is for option 2. The protocol needs to focus on rETH for a while.

How is this a debate? Option 1! We need revenue to RPL early Q2 or we miss the bull run!

Edit: and we need to keep up momentum. Our worst performing node just came back online and we won’t know what RETH will need until Sat 2 settles.
