I’d like to provide some additional context from @langers in the Rocket Pool Bridge Campaign thread that I think is relevant to our discussion. Langers mentioned that while Rocket Pool Labs would prefer not to retain ownership of the contract, they are open to joining a group with community members to own the contract, which would alleviate most concerns. This is a similar scenario to the pDAO security council (which I should post about in governance), so perhaps the same people on the security council can be in this group. Essentially, if we can form that group of elected volunteers then retaining ownership is possible. Although, I am aware DAO … Given our time-sensitive goal of getting the CCIP bridge up and running for Ronin to mint $3M in USD of rETH and launch their DeFi ecosystem, I propose a temporary solution: Rocket Pool Labs takes ownership of the rETH CA on Ronin until the DAO has a chance to discuss and establish an OpSec team to take over.
