About the STAR Initiative: The STAR Initiative aims to engage DAOs, treasuries, and other organizations holding ETH to encourage them to mint rETH through structured and incentivized outreach efforts. By leveraging intermediaries to locate and engage these organizations, the initiative strives to increase demand for rETH, benefiting the Rocket Pool ecosystem and its community.

Position Overview: The GMC is seeking a highly organized and motivated Overseer to lead and manage the STAR Initiative. The Overseer will be responsible for implementing and improving processes, maintaining clear records, and ensuring the initiative’s smooth operation. This is a remote, part-time position requiring approximately 7-10 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
    • Oversee the entire STAR Initiative, ensuring milestones are met on time.
    • Maintain a clear and organized central record of all participants, organizations, and progress along the Path to Mint (PtM).
  • CRM Implementation:
    • Develop and maintain a customer relationship management (CRM) system to track outreach efforts and engagement progress.
    • Consult with the GMC and pDAO and improve tools used in the initiative, based on prior experiences.
  • Oversight Committee Coordination:
    • Collaborate with the Oversight Committee to approve marketing materials, boilerplate text, and procedural guidelines.
    • Facilitate regular updates and feedback loops with committee members.
  • Marketing Material Development:
    • Plan and oversee the creation of marketing materials in collaboration with a graphic designer.
    • Ensure materials are aligned with project goals and resonate with targeted organizations.
  • Rewards Management:
    • Verify and approve reward claims submitted by intermediaries at each stage of the PtM.
    • Maintain transparency and accuracy in distributing rewards.
  • Participant Support:
    • Guide and onboard new participants. Communicate regularly and effectively within the GMC Discord Server.
    • Provide support and training on the use of tools and processes.

Expected Deliverables During Initial Stages:

  1. Establish and operationalize the CRM system within the first two weeks.
  2. Finalize and distribute boilerplate communication materials, with Oversight Committee approval.
  3. Develop a transparent rewards tracking system in collaboration with the Oversight Committee.
  4. Initiate progress tracking and communication channels for all participants.
  5. Research and propose an effective structure for the Oversight Committee, exploring options such as recruiting paid individuals for heavier workloads or relying on GMC members for basic verification tasks.
  6. Submit a proposal outlining appropriate incentives for the overseer if the base pay is deemed insufficient or unfair.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in project management, community engagement, or related fields.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with DAOs, blockchain technology, and the Rocket Pool ecosystem is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools or a willingness to learn.

Termination Clause: The Oversight Committee reserves the right to terminate the Overseer’s contract at any time during the 8-month period if the Overseer is deemed to be underperforming, failing to meet deliverables, or not maintaining effective collaboration with the committee. Written notice will be provided with a two-week period for corrective action. If improvements are not made within this timeframe, the contract will be terminated immediately.
