Rocket Pool MEV Theft and Loss Report
Having this data and digestible reports is worthwhile. Fund it.
$15k for 100h is $150/h. 100h is ~12d. 40h/5d/6k for data collection and 60h/7.5d/$9k for data analysis. A bit on the high side? But in my experience data collection and analysis is time consuming and tedious.
BlockseBlock Hackathon for Rocket Pool
A hackathon would be cool but I do not think there’s enough people interested in this.
They’re bragging about having 100k developers and 1400 devs in their most successful ICP hackathon but what’s the average turn out?
What’s something that’s useful that they can build in a couple of days without prior Rocket Pool knowledge for $5k at most? My guess most projects would be low quality rETH charts or something.
Who are these experts and mentors who will take care of technical workshops? Have they even tried Smart Node?
If what they are promising is true, $12.5k + $5k is very cheap for 1400 developers + 500 hackathon project engagement + mentors + technical workshops.
The Weekly Orbit
Fund it. It’s great that there’s such content for the community.
Retros
Vote Initialisation and Delegation Visibility
Fund it. It’s useful and gives visibility.

Rocket Pool Support Payments Sept-Nov 2024
Valid idea.
What’s nice is the fixed cost i.e. how much of the budget will be allocated to support. If someone wants to contribute providing support the criteria will be clear to them. But there could be some drama or backstabbing when it’s time to cut the pizza into slices.
I also think what we already have has worked fine so far. There’s a bit of a barrier to entry i.e. you have to run the tool yourself and submit an application. You won’t do it for pennies.
I’d say if it’s not broken don’t fix it.
Hi @peteris thank you for the feedback.

Hackathon is the first step in the ecosystem development funnel. Once we have the projects we can provide them further resources to build and bring users, this will create a flywheel effect. More projects, more users and ultimately growing the entire ecosystem.

We are promising the following with the hackathon:
300 registrations
150 developers
30 projects

You can provide us the problem statements or the focus area and accordingly, we will get the projects. To attract more developers foundation can grant more prize money and will be paid directly to winners.
Who are these experts and mentors who will take care of technical workshops? Have they even tried Smart Node?
We have our in-house technical team who will look after these workshops. The team is well versed with Rocket Pool tech and can easily guide the teams building on top of it.
