This is a repeat of an earlier grant proposal, and it’s not clear what’s changed. As such, my comments from Round 19 - GMC Community Discussion of Submitted Applications - #5 by Valdorff apply, which boil down to “$8k isn’t a lot, but I’m currently not clear on a unique feature being added or a feature being refined to be better than otherwise available.”

I am lightly in favor. In particular, if the core team doesn’t plan to run any booth, having some presence is valuable and the price isn’t crazy.

:red_circle: Using rETH as collateral to support preconfirmations with mev-commit

Yeah… the amount of funds requested is 5xx what we have in IMC, GMC, and reserve combined. Nonstarter, both because we don’t have the money and cuz they couldn’t be bothered to get an idea of what we have.

:green_circle: Smart Node v2 Exit Arbitrage Add-on

Peg defense is valuable, I think this is a material difference for users and thus rETH holders.

:red_circle: :yellow_circle: Certifications for rETH Course Completion Incentive

Honestly… a thing that says “they did the course” has zero overhead – it could, and imo should, be free. I understand that they can charge, but I don’t particularly want to to feed this kinda game. Fwiw, I am also unaware of anyone that would care about this certification in a job interview situation or similar, so I’m not sure I understand why this would significantly motivate a developer.

Nexus mutual was already awarded. For Nouns effort, assuming I can just scale $8000*(518/(518+14100)) = $274.1 seems fine. Would be comfy a bit higher even, for the trailblazing.

This is bare bones reward tbh – encourage y’all to be generous and go higher (though if it were me I’d be explicitly generous on the main work and not on halo being nerd-sniped to go to 100% by himself).
