2025-06 IMC Nomination Thread

Alignment Statement

The main bit of alignment is that I quite like RP. I think it has the potential to be great for Ethereum health, it allows broader participation than solo staking, and I think there are many tough problems to solve along the way (I like problem solving ).

Secondarily, I have significant-to-me exposure to RP both via RPL and minipools.

Conflict Statement

I don’t do the “tribe” thing too much. I have provided feedback to Lido, and sought feedback from Lido contributors. I have provided feedback to Stader and Stakewise.

I have held lots of tokens off/on, in and outside of the Ethoverse: SWISE, BTC, ATOM, SCRT, AKT, ARB, blah, blah.

I have worked with a variety of web3 partners (both through IMC and not) and have definite preferences about working with some for not-purely-protocol-finances reasons. I think it’s appropriate to consider smooth working relationships.

I don’t see any of the above as conflicts, but it’s as close as I come.

Identity Statement

I’m a senior engineer currently working in IoT and have previously worked in semiconductors. While I don’t plan on fully doxxing, I’m happy to coarsely answer most questions about myself that come up.

Contribution Statement

Frankly, I do too many things. I have been de facto IMC lead on the partnership side and execution wallet side (shoutout to Samus for taking the treasurer and transaction creation things off my plate), de facto RPIP editor lead, am extremely active on the technical strategizing side of the pDAO, and am extremely active in governance in several ways (writing RPIPs, writing vote text, getting things attention, providing feedback, …). I talk to a ton of protocols both with and without my IMC hat, and shitpost a ton.

All of which is to say, I’d be super excited if we got some folks looking to do some of the beyond the baseline work in the role description.

As an aside cuz this reflection has me thinking… the stipend, while not supermassive, does go a long way towards making IMC work feel recognized as important.

Alignment Statement:
I’ve had the privilege of serving the pDAO by being an active member of the GMC since its inception. I am interested in participating in the IMC to learn more about the incentive mechanism and its role in adding value to the rETH LST.RP has a unique opportunity with the anticipated launch of Saturn I and II to increase the market share of rETH. I think the incentive opportunities can align with an rETH minting campaign.

Conflict Statement:
I fully recognize the time and effort required for the IMC role. I am actively participating in other DeFi communities, NodeSet, MegaETH, Heroglyphs, and Aztec. I will disclose if any proposal that the IMC evaluates would pose a conflict of interest.

Identity Statement:
I work at a public institution of higher education in the US and have been a proud node operator since Rocket Pool’s inaugural launch (Stage 1). I am deeply aligned with the core principles of Ethereum and actively engage in discussions focused on its design and future enhancements.

Contribution Statement:
My dedication to the Rocket Pool community remains steadfast. I co-host RP community calls and have served as a Rocket Scientist for several years, mentoring many along the way. This role has deepened my understanding of both the Ethereum and RP protocols, enabling me to assist others with node-related issues. I have represented our community in various forums, including discussion panels and interviews.

Alignment Statement

I strongly support Ethereum, Ethereum staking, and decentralization. Therefore, Rocket Pool is the platform that aligns best with these values. I also have great trust in Rocket Pool’s dedicated developers and intelligent community. The majority of my assets are composed of RPL, and I also hold a small amount of rETH. Therefore, I support and look forward to Rocket Pool’s long-term sustainability and success through increased market share.

Conflict Statement

I do not support protocols or hold any significant amount of tokens that conflict with Ethereum, Rocket Pool, or rETH, nor do I have any plans to do so in the future.

Identity Statement

My primary occupation is a patent analyst. I am Korean and a node operator for Rocket Pool. My usernames on Discord and the DAO forum are “deukey”. I have been active on the Rocket Pool Discord since March 2021. I mainly participate in the trading channel to monitor the Rocket Pool protocol.

Contribution Statement

I have been promoting Rocket Pool and Ethereum staking to Koreans, successfully onboarding several Korean node operators to Rocket Pool. Additionally, having joined the IMC as a supplemental member for the past several months, I have done my best to contribute, although my contributions were limited due to joining late.

Additional Information

I would be happy to take any opportunity to contribute to the Rocket Pool protocol and community as much as I can. However, due to my primary occupation, the extent of my contributions may be limited.

Alignment Statement

I currently hold rETH, RPL, and have a few minipools. I believe in much of the vision of Ethereum and how Rocket Pool can contribute to it. I’ve been contributing to the RP community for a couple years in the forms of completing grants, contributing to tokenomics, being a delegate, and am a member of the GMC.

Conflict Statement

Other than being on the GMC (GMC is the best MC), I have no conflicts.

Identity Statement

I have extensive experience modeling biological systems. I tend to be driven by a curiosity to know how and why things work, which has lead me from cryptography to Rocket Pool. In the two years I’ve been a part of the community I’ve performed a number of roles, from research and analytics to governance.

Contribution Statement

The main thing I would have to offer to the IMC is experience using data-driven approaches and an intuition of how complex systems react. If my past history on the GMC is anything to go by, I am also likely to be cynical that things will do what people think they will or that we should be spending money on them. I tend to be skeptical of things that do not have data showing they work, which is unfortunately most things in the crypto ecosystem currently.

A major weakness I have is that I am not the most experienced in defi, and would characterize my level as beginner to intermediate. As part of my role on the GMC I have gotten experience making swaps in a safe, using L2s, and investing in looping strategies.

Alignment Statement

Most of this is quite similar to last year. I want to see Rocket Pool succeed and being part of the IMC is at least a small way in which I can contribute to that.

Conflict Statement

I do hold quite a significant position in SWISE now, which is StakeWise’s governance token and also run validators for NodeSet, whose main business is currently their StakeWise vault. That said, I’m not particularly invested in the project beyond the token exposure and would certainly not put its interests ahead of RP’s. My exposure to RPL also still outweighs that to SWISE.

Identity Statement

I’m a junior software engineer for a large US tech company in Switzerland.

Contribution Statement

I’ve already been an IMC member for the last year and have helped RP in many other ways such as the #support channel, RPIPs and tools like RocketScrape here and there.

Alignment Statement

I spend every day thinking about and existing in the Rocket Pool ecosystem through my work and my personal interest in the protocol and community. For the majority of people inside and outside of Rocket Pool, I am ones of the faces of the community.

I have been an IMC member for the last year.

Conflict Statement

I hold significant amounts of RPL and ETH, but the majority of my crypto holdings are now in AI agent tokens (mostly through one lucky trade and some portfolio reallocation).

I am a member of the pDAO’s grants management committee (GMC best MC!), and I have served there since its inception.

Identity Statement

I have met approx 100 people from the Rocket Pool community at meet ups in Chicago and at ETH Denver in 2023 and 2024. Many people in the community know my full name, my address, and my phone number. However, I would prefer this information is not publicly disclosed.

I worked as a teacher for 7 years and then worked at a university in an admin position. However, for the last three years, my full time job has been working on Rocket Fuel - a daily news show focusing on Rocket Pool. I would like to continue with this work for as long as the GMC deems it valuable.

Contribution Statement

I contribute to Rocket Pool everyday through making Rocket Fuel. I have also been a member of the GMC since its inception. Rocket Pool is my full time job.

Sadly, I was not able to contribute to the IMC to the extent I had hoped last year. While I hope I can do more this round, it is likely that I will remain as the “baseline”.

Alignment Statement

I’ve been a member of the Rocket Pool community since December 2021. I started some minipools via Allnodes then, and switched to using my own hardware. I was drawn to Rocket Pool due its alignment with the Ethereum ethos. I’ve stayed interested in the community due to the interesting problems that need to be solved across the hardware, software, data, analysis, economic, and social layers to make this thing work. I also am significantly invested in the protocol.

Conflict Statement

99% of my crypto holdings consist of ETH, rETH, RPL. I am experimenting with some of the protocols I’ve learned about in my IMC role. I am also a Nodeset operator.

Identity Statement

I have a PhD in physics, and work as a staff machine learning engineer in the autonomous vehicle industry. I’m in my mid-30s and live in California.

Contribution Statement

  • I have served 1.5 terms on the IMC. My main IMC contribution has been being a reliable transaction reviewer and signer. I’m happy to remain an IMC member at my current contribution level, however I would be fine to step aside if there are new folks who want to be more involved.
  • I created a Dune dashboard for Rocket Pool which has proven highly useful in tracking some key metrics that are of use to the IMC (e.g. rETH peg, liquidity). I’ve also done a smaller amount of with in coordination with @Valdorff on the Rocket Pool Community Dune Team.
