The team has spent the last few months scoping and designing the proposed Saturn 2 features.

Now that we have a clear picture of what we’re building, we can share an indicative timeline (as always, this is an estimate and subject to change).
As with Saturn 1, we’ll break the deliverables into multiple devnets so we can optimise testing and engage the community with new features as early as possible:
Devnet-1 (Oct 2026): RPIP-44, RPIP-73, RPIP-80, RPIP-79
Devnet-2 (Jan 2027): RPIP-71, RPIP-82
Devnet-3 (Feb 2027): RPIP-42, RPIP-46, onchain voting, RPIP-83
Audit timelines have historically been difficult to predict, and we still need to engage auditors for this phase.
We’re targeting audit completion and testnet deployment for Apr 2027, with a launch date in May 2027.
